Isaiah 40:1-5, 9-11 God departed with the exiles and returns to the land of Israel along with the people.

Psalm 85:9-10, 11-12, 13-14 Kindness and truth, justice and peace become intimates in the time of salvation.

2 Peter 3:8-14 An apocalyptic ending is guaranteed-but the people of the promise await a world of righteousness.

Mark 1:1-8 The messenger comes announcing apocalypse and the great arrival of hope.
