Acts of the Apostles 1:1-11  Luke resumes the telling of the Jesus story in its new incarnation: the church.

Psalm 47:2-3, 6-7, 8-9  An enthronement psalm becomes a fitting image of the Ascension for Christians.

Ephesians 1:17-23 or Hebrews 9:24-28; 10:19-23  Our inheritance in Christ is wisdom, revelation, and enlightenment of heart.

Luke 24:46-53  Jesus summarizes the scripture that foretells what the disciples have already witnessed.
