John Henry Newman puzzles over the mystery of why Jesus left his friends after reuniting with them in the Resurrection. Things couldn’t be the same between them, he suggests, after the “awful truth” of the divinity of Jesus was revealed to their formerly imperceptive imaginations.

For me, one of the few blessings that came out of the pandemic was all the online faith community I discovered. He will provide the way and the means, such as you could never have imagined. Leave it all to Him, let go of yourself. Lose yourself on the Cross, and you will find yourself entirely.
