Have you ever talked to someone who has been unemployed for an extended period? Worry and anxiety about tomorrow is intense. To those situations Jesus says: Do not worry about your life.

Say goodbye to Ordinary Time. Bid farewell to the green of spiritual growth and embrace the upcoming purple of spiritual pruning. Does anyone miss Ordinary Time when it’s in the rearview mirror? I do.

“You can’t worship two gods at once. Loving one god, you’ll end up hating the other. Adoration of one feeds contempt for the other. You can’t worship God and Money both.

My mother never had much by way of money or material possessions. Luckily, such things didn’t really matter to her.

Lord, Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
