Procession: Mark 11:1-10 or John 12:12-16   Jesus embraces the street theater that awaits his appearance in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 50:4-7  The faithful servant is beaten for his righteousness.

Psalm 22:8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24  God does not abandon the one whom they have pierced.

Philippians 2:6-11  Emptied of divinity, Christ takes on the suffering of our humanity.

Mark 14:1-15:47  Jesus is judged as one who deserves to die.
