One time when Jesus was off praying by himself, his disciples nearby, he asked them, “What are the crowds saying about me, about who I am?”
One of the Pharisees asked him over for a meal. He went to the Pharisee’s house and sat down at the dinner table. Just then a woman of the village, the town harlot, having learned that Jesus was a guest in the home of the Pharisee, came with a bottle of very expensive perfume and stood at his feet, weeping, raining tears on his feet.
Jesus went to the village Nain. His disciples were with him, along with quite a large crowd. As they approached the village gate, they met a funeral procession—a woman’s only son was being carried out for burial.
Jesus graciously welcomed them and talked to them about the kingdom of God. Those who needed healing, he healed.
I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t handle them now. But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is.
Later on that day, the disciples had gathered together, but, fearful of the Jews, had locked all the doors in the house. Jesus entered, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.” Then he showed them his hands and side.
Raising his eyes in prayer, Jesus said: “I’m praying not only for them But also for those who will believe in me Because of them and their witness about me.
Judas (not Iscariot) said, “Master, why is it that you are about to make yourself plain to us but not to the world?”
When Judas had left, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is seen for who he is, and God seen for who he is in him.
Jesus said: “My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life.
