Isaiah 63:16b-17, 19b; 64:2-7  The prophet issues a call to repentance for a people delivered to their guilt.

Psalm 80:2-3, 15-16, 18-19  Divine power is needed to turn a withdrawn people to their saving God.

1 Corinthians 1:3-9  We lack no spiritual gift as we wait for the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Mark 13:33-37  The lord of the house is coming home at a time we do not expect.

The Gospel of Mark will be our text for the next year of Sundays (along with liberal use of John next summer, since Mark is so brief).
