SUNDAY SUMMARY

Jeremiah 20:7-9  Jeremiah accuses God of pulling a bait-and-switch with his prophetic mission.

Psalm 63:2, 3-4, 5-6, 8-9 (2b)  Our need for God is all-consuming, and its satisfaction is like a banquet.

Romans 12:1-2  We can give ourselves to God or to the world. Only one way is good, pleasing, perfect.

Matthew 16:21-27  Denying ourselves is the Jesus way. Gaining the world is the greatest loss of all.
