Isaiah 2:1-5 The eighth-century prophet foresees a time of universal peace among the nations.

Psalm 122:1-2, 3-4, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 Peace and prosperity are proclaimed for those who love Jerusalem, the city of God.

Romans 13:11-14 The time for sleep is past. The day of the Lord is at hand!

Matthew 24:37-44 The day of the Lord comes swiftly and decisively at a time as yet unknown.
