We pray to our kind and gracious God who offers us mercy.
To receive the Body and Blood of Christ, we must first seek his forgiveness.
As children of God, we turn to our loving Father for mercy and forgiveness.
We call on God for strength to live in the Spirit.
Believing in a God who shows us kindness, we ask for God’s mercy as we continue our Easter journey toward the fullness of the Spirit at Pentecost.
We pray now to the Lord who is head over all things.
In prayer we ask for the grace to obey God’s command to love, and for mercy when we do not.
As we continue on our Easter journey, we ask for new life in God.
Only God can lead us to salvation, and in prayer we express our dependence on God and God’s mercy.
We turn to God to ask for the forgiveness God has promised us.
