Those who are anointed by God are sent to proclaim Good News to the poor. May we be heralds of good news to an ailing world.
As we journey through this season of Advent, in hope we bring our prayers before our God, who comes to us in the wildernesses and deserts of our lives.
As we begin the season of Advent, we pray for a deeper appreciation of Christ coming into the world.
As we end another year of grace, we turn in prayer to Christ, who reigns in our hearts and minds.
Sisters and brothers, as a people of the light, let us ask for the strength and courage to persevere as God’s good and faithful servants.
We are the living stones of God’s temple. From this sacred house we lift up our prayers to God.
As the days become shorter, we bring to mind those who have died and contemplate our own homecoming to God. Let us offer our prayers, with hope in God and in loving response to all who have ever prayed for us.
The Lord is good and gracious to us, turning us gently from the idols of power, security, and comfort to serve the living and true God. Pray that we may love as we are loved.
We give thanks to God always for the gospel that comes to us in power and in the Holy Spirit. Pray that we receive it with much conviction and live by its teachings.
