For the times we have not listened to and followed the Lord, we pray for forgiveness.
With faith and trust, we ask for forgiveness from our merciful God.
In the spirit of repentance for sins Saint John the Baptist preached, we make known our failures to our merciful God.
We pray to our kind and gracious God who offers us mercy.
To receive the Body and Blood of Christ, we must first seek his forgiveness.
As children of God, we turn to our loving Father for mercy and forgiveness.
We call on God for strength to live in the Spirit.
In prayer we ask for the grace to obey God’s command to love, and for mercy when we do not.
As we continue on our Easter journey, we ask for new life in God.
Loving God, your mercy endures forever. We give you thanks for hearing the prayers we make in the name of Jesus, who lives with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
