In the gospel today Jesus challenges his hearers to choose to follow God above all else. Let us pray that we may make that choice.
The Lord provides a feast for all peoples. We ask that nothing may separate us from the table of God's salvation.
With faith in God's guidance, by prayer and petition, we make our request for mercy known to God.
We ask for the mercy of God and do what is right and just.
Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
To be forgiven, we must forgive. We turn to God for the forgiveness we are to show to others.
