As we celebrate the saving mysteries of our faith, we ask God to strengthen and heal us.
As we celebrate God’s banquet of love, let us remember that it is God who rescues us from sin.
We are baptized into Christ. Let us ask the Lord for forgiveness for when we have not kept our baptismal promises.
In Jesus God has done something new and ushered in a new age. In that spirit of renewal, we ask for the gift of God’s forgiveness.
As we celebrate the Baptism of Jesus when God poured down the Holy Spirit, we ask that God bless us with the grace of rebirth and renewal.
We want to walk not in darkness but in the light of God. We ask God to shed the light of forgiveness on us as we acknowledge our sins.
With a desire to walk in the ways of the Lord, we ask for God's forgiveness.
To make ourselves worthy to serve God, we turn to God’s mercy.
To open ourselves to God’s joy, let us pray for forgiveness of our failings and sins.
My friends in Christ, as we continue to ready ourselves for the coming of God’s presence in Christ during the season of Advent, let us, in the presence of God our Creator, ask for mercy.
